PCHG's Internet services include, but are not limited to: dial-up and high-speed Internet, personal and professional web hosting, and email. The acceptable use policy spells out mainly what constitutes an unacceptable use of your Internet service. Your service may be terminated or suspended without notice for violation of these terms.
Do not use the service as part of violating
any law
Under no circumstances may you send unsolicited email or spam to any individual
or group
Do not attempt to compromise the security of any computer, user, or network
system
Do not attempt to interfere with the normal operation of any Internet server or
user (Denial-of-service, mail bomb, etc)
Do not post commercial messages to Usenet groups or other public forums without
prior permission
Do not transmit any virus, worm, or trojan horse by
any means to anyone
Do not resell any service you obtain from PCHG without written permission
Access to dial-up servers Connect Anytime Plan is limited to a max off 200 hours per month, email and web servers is restricted to PCHG customers with accounts in good standing.
All usernames/email address combinations
remain the property of PCHG Internet Solutions. When you discontinue your
service, any email sent to your former address becomes property of PCHG. It is
normally our practice to immediately bounce mail sent to inactive accounts,
thus returning it to the sender. Old email addresses may be recycled and used
by different users at our discretion. PCHG reserves the right to require a user
to change her/his email address under certain circumstances.
It is the customer's responsibility to know her/his password. It is in the
interests of the customer's security and ours that these passwords remain
confidential. We require a minimum level of complexity in password choice, and
discourage the use of short or simple passwords that are vulnerable to attack.
Names, dictionary words, phone numbers, birthdays are all examples of poor
passwords. We recommend every password contain a mixture of upper and
lower-case letters, at least one number, and be at least 6 characters in
length. If your password has become compromised you should immediately notify
PCHG and have it changed.
PCHG reserves the right to remove access to
or delete without notice any personal webpage’s. Personal web space is
intended for use by private individuals and may not be used for business or
commercial purposes. A commercial hosting package is required if you wish to
use the web space to advertise or promote a company. The following things may
not be uploaded to or accessible from PCHG's web
servers:
Any content that violates local, national, or international law
Hateful, discriminatory, or defamatory materials
Unlicensed distribution of copyrighted materials
Any content deemed obscene or pornographic
Any files, scripts, or information that may potentially compromise the security
of any network
Any material facilitating the distribution of viruses or mass unsolicited mail
of any kind (spam)
We are not responsible for policing the content on personal web sites. It is your responsibility to make sure your content falls within the acceptable guidelines. We will follow up complaints about web content hosted on our servers. We do not backup personal websites for any reason.
PCHG reserves the right to modify any of these terms of service without notice, and will do so from time to time. The web version of these terms and conditions is for convenience only. The authoritative terms of service document is located at PCHG's offices.
